Championship History

Twelve seasons into its existance, Ryan World is celebrating a first-time champion. Congratulations to zsiegri and the Wichita Sizzlers on their World Series title.

Below is a history of Ryan's past champions and a look at the owners who have won the most without yet winning it all.

Season 1: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 2: Montral Moneyshots (booshie73)
Season 3: Colorado Mile High Club (Fregoe)
Season 4: Kansas City McCoys (raucous)
Season 5: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 6: Kansas City McCoys (raucous)
Season 7: Madison Massa's (btkantz)
Season 8: Madison Massa's (btkantz)
Season 9: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 10: Oklahoma City Chickens (edric)
Season 11: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 12: Wichita Sizzlers (zsiegri)

Each league has claimed the title exactly six times.

Madison is the only team to successfully defend its title, while Kansas City and the NY Burros have each won two championships in three seasons.

After six strong seasons in Ryan World (total regular-season record: 623-349) zsiegri was clearly due to carry his success over to the postseason. However, he's not the owner with the most regular season wins in Ryan who's still looking for his first title in the league. So who could be the next to get off the schneid?

bernie10025 has recorded 1,175 wins in 12 seasons (an average of an incredible 98 wins per season) as the GM of the New York Bombers including two pennants, but has yet to win it all. He has never posted a losing record.

kmueller has ten seasons in Cincinnati with a total of 903 wins (an average of 90 per season) and has posted nine straight winning seasons and won two NL pennants, but is still looking for his first world championship.

liamsar has never posted a losing record in nine seasons in San Diego. His 839 wins average out to 93 per season and he won the NL pennant in season 8, but has not yet won it all.

djgaffer might have the most star-crossed postseason history of anyone in Ryan. He has recorded at least 80 wins in each of his eight seasons in the league, and a total of 738 victories (92 per season). However, the Marmots have never even reached the NLCS, let alone the World Series. This season's defeat against Colorado Springs (losing the series 3-2 after winning the first two games) was just the latest in a string of tough postseason losses.

voteforlou won this year's NL championship and has not ever won fewer than 80 games in a year in eight full seasons. His 734 wins amount to 92 per season. This season's pennant was his first in Ryan.
