Both are stars in waiting who will be asked to lead the charge in Washington. Outside of the dynamic Dou the offense is drab. 1B Trenidad Beltran is a swadow of his former self but will provide the team consistency. The pitching is still below average but shows improvement with the addition of Marshall to the Rotation over Goldman

A ho-hum team which lacks a current all-star the future looks brighter in a few seasons with Prospects 3B Theodore Grace and 2B Germany Barker next season charging the offense . Prospect Horace Walton might be an upgrade to the rotation right now. With SP Dan Riedling the closest thing they have to an ace. Record: 51-111

In are Tarrik Mcgee and Bento lee, bith downgrades over their predisessors. The Massa's lean heavy on their offense which is driven by all-star 3B Craig Cooper. 1B Casey Kaline as been a career Massa and should continue the season scrapping out the hits. The guys behind the Dish though struggled to get through a complete season and depened on Scott Biddle to get a spot start on occasion, Without Biddle there may be an issue..
Record: 93-69

Fargo Fevola's themagicman1 64-98 (4th) 85M (+9M) 8.4M Cap Space Key Adds: SS Vic Gil (43hr 117rbi) Key Subtractions: SP Cecil Smart (7-15 132so 4.92) SS D.T. Hutch (10hr 29rbi) Summary: Upgraded the offense at SS with the addition of Gil at short. The bullpen is one of the better in the Al North with Wade Hammonds and Artie Luebbers eating up a lot of innings. They will need to be on their game because the starters outside of Marty Hooper are extremely weak. The offense will struggle to score enough to overcome the leaky pitching. Prospects SP Harvey Harville and C Trenidad Beltre might be ready to add some depth, but they are far from the answer in Fargo.

The team stays young and talented year after year. Seguignol was a steal and a new Ace for the Dominant Burro’s rotation. Add in all-stars Ryan Perry and Shayne Nagy and they have a formable rotation to face any team. Cl Kevin Burke returns to slam the door with newcomer Feliz working the set-up. Offensively the team traded away a lot of firepower in Bowman and Williams, but should be able to compensate with the development of SS Louis Matos and 2B Bret Sager

Fuentes, Whiteside and Neagle should all be upgrades for the rotation. Iowa will need to sendone of their starters to the pen to work late in games and close them out, who is not determined. The offense has the improving Brad Finnessey to build around in Center and two young backstops to work with including solid hitting Tori Hanson.

Aging stars Julian Bonilla, Clarence Thompson, Jung Miyakazi and Don Perry will be asked to provide the offense at the start of the season., but I would not count on many of them being around through the trade deadline. This is team moving in a fresh direction and to do so means cleaning out the veterans and restocking the depleted minors.

The Offense will sputter behind Eugene Walker and Albert Gonzalez. They need one more premier bat to solidify the center of the lineup. Team will have a down season and could end up selling of pieces with the next classof prospects 2 seasons away.

The bowties have been extremely quiet in the offseason. They need to bring in 1 quality arm from free agency. The offense is in place with C Brent Sheets and 2B Carlos Hernandez. The team has still 3 more spot to fill out the 25 man roster and will need to look at bringing in a defensive minded role player and one more big bat to possible stay on top of this division.

The pitching is much improved., The outfield trio of Arthur Worthington, Harvey Carson, and Scott Clarke. Still a few holes in the lineup, but they should have no shortage of run support this season.

They revamped the whole starting rotation bringing in Quality pitchers in Rodriguez, Graham and Telford. They also bettered the bullpen with All star Closer Watson and key setup man Mendoza. Pitching should be strong enough to carry this team for a while this season. The Hitting is led by youngsters 1B Bo Glanville and LF Timothy Sutton. Those two have a short window of opportunity with the aging pitching staff and supporting cast. This will be an expensive season in Chicago and a big cost if these Free Agents fail.

This leaves the pen in the hands of struggling star Babe Rose to close the door in tight games. 3B Javier Martin and SS Wade Price should be able to build on last season’s hitting and compliment 1B Eugene Price’s presence this season. Hitting will not be the issue in Philly. With a decent budget surplus they have room to upgrade through trade or free agency.

This gaping hole in the lineup will greatly reduce the teams output and put pressure on the aging starting rotation. Kiki Soto is a year more wild, but still an effective pitcher. The Marmot might be a team on the verge and a tough one for ownership they are good enough to compete, but are they good enough to win the league? Tough choice to me made if they sell now or buy the big bat they now lack. Chris Durbin's speed will be an asset either way.

They lose some offensive, but have abetter defensive option now. The starting rotation is one to be proud of with Ismael Perez a year better. Add him to Hi Telgheder and you have a potent 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation. 3B Walt Harris will be asked to contribute a big bat in his rookie season and should be able to hold a start position for years to come. This is a young and able team who has World series experience to boot. They get in a groove and watch out

The team's bullpen took a huge hit in the off-season with the loss of Closer Martin. Ramon Lim is a borderline Major Leaguer. The offense is led by veteran Thomas Campbell and all-star SS Roosevelt Murphy. The Surf need one more solid bat to compliment these guys if they hope to score big in this league.

With the ghosts of stars past (mullens and Lewis) gone the team can start to move forward. The minors are stockpiled with top 10 picks from the past 5 seasons. For this season Albert Montanez should provide the pop to Jim Walker's speed. Max Leary should get regular time at 2B , as he is an ex-1st rounders picked up in the rule 5. Obviously the team assessed ts position and saw a need to move to a younger team and plan for the future. Although the team is not void of talent they will struggle without their all-stars.

The offensive is led by the youthful trio of Ivan Spehr, Sean Swan and Louie Rosario. All are a year older and better. With a wide array of support the team should be able to stay close in games. In a weaker division they could be a playoff team, here they might settle as an 85 win team.
Record: 85-77

San Juan Sixburghs steelforge (2nd Season) 81-81 (2nd) 68M payroll (-17M) .8M cap space. Key Adds: None Key Subtractions: RP Antonio Lo(4.78 49SO) , C Danny Poppell (.248 11hr), RP Ricky Shaw(3.96 4sv 86SO) , LF Delino Ordaz (.296 31hr 94rbi). Summary: Late season's suprise team, San Juan lost a few relievers, but outside of Lo no one super contributor. Stubby Cyr and Aaron Fox are the catilysts for this offense, the Starting pitching should be able to keep the team solid throughout the season, but they still need one more piece for the lineup to move them over the .500 hump. With no cap space they might have to look to the minors and bring up speedster OF Felix Kim

Record: 77-85

St. Louis Rustlers PeteInHall (2nd season) 69-93 (4th) 67M (-12M) 8.7M cap Space. Key Adds: NONE Key Subtractions: RP Don Witte (4.43 4 saves 80SO), SP Alex Delgado(4.41 8-13 109SO), 2B Lance Vernon (.301 32SB 79rbi). Summary: 4 spots still to fill in the majors and some major holes to address. Witte and Delgado are solid contributors that will not returned. With there loss the rotation takes a step backwards. Orlando Frias is every much the closer the team should be building its bullpen on. The bullpen wil be the strength if and when the team hands them the lead. Albert Frasier and Albert Sanchez probably are better suited as trade bait to search for the next great star. Because this will not be the year of the Rustlers. Everyone in the farm is 2 years away they should be targeting prospects in that range.
Record: 61-101.

Championship History

Twelve seasons into its existance, Ryan World is celebrating a first-time champion. Congratulations to zsiegri and the Wichita Sizzlers on their World Series title.

Below is a history of Ryan's past champions and a look at the owners who have won the most without yet winning it all.

Season 1: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 2: Montral Moneyshots (booshie73)
Season 3: Colorado Mile High Club (Fregoe)
Season 4: Kansas City McCoys (raucous)
Season 5: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 6: Kansas City McCoys (raucous)
Season 7: Madison Massa's (btkantz)
Season 8: Madison Massa's (btkantz)
Season 9: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 10: Oklahoma City Chickens (edric)
Season 11: New York Burros (pullmeafredo)
Season 12: Wichita Sizzlers (zsiegri)

Each league has claimed the title exactly six times.

Madison is the only team to successfully defend its title, while Kansas City and the NY Burros have each won two championships in three seasons.

After six strong seasons in Ryan World (total regular-season record: 623-349) zsiegri was clearly due to carry his success over to the postseason. However, he's not the owner with the most regular season wins in Ryan who's still looking for his first title in the league. So who could be the next to get off the schneid?

bernie10025 has recorded 1,175 wins in 12 seasons (an average of an incredible 98 wins per season) as the GM of the New York Bombers including two pennants, but has yet to win it all. He has never posted a losing record.

kmueller has ten seasons in Cincinnati with a total of 903 wins (an average of 90 per season) and has posted nine straight winning seasons and won two NL pennants, but is still looking for his first world championship.

liamsar has never posted a losing record in nine seasons in San Diego. His 839 wins average out to 93 per season and he won the NL pennant in season 8, but has not yet won it all.

djgaffer might have the most star-crossed postseason history of anyone in Ryan. He has recorded at least 80 wins in each of his eight seasons in the league, and a total of 738 victories (92 per season). However, the Marmots have never even reached the NLCS, let alone the World Series. This season's defeat against Colorado Springs (losing the series 3-2 after winning the first two games) was just the latest in a string of tough postseason losses.

voteforlou won this year's NL championship and has not ever won fewer than 80 games in a year in eight full seasons. His 734 wins amount to 92 per season. This season's pennant was his first in Ryan.

NL CONFERENCE FINALS

New York Vs Colorado Springs : AKA David vs Goliath

History: New York won S12 series 7-3. The 2 teams combined for 86 Runs in 10 games. CSP's needs to figure out away to make their bullpen work for them. New York's pitching will keep the Filler's in check throughout the game. The filler's starters Should be able to keep things close. It's the Filler Bullpen which will need to step up. With no named closer all season and a pen of underachievers this is going to be a difficult task. For both teams offensive seems to come in bunches then dry up this might be a race to 4 runs whoever gets there should win the game

Who's Hot in S12 Postseason:

NY2: Sergio Koplove batting .444 with 1 HR 6RBI 1SB
CSP: Tony Bravo .343 2hr 8 RBI with a 1.007 OPS

Who's Cold S12 Postseason:

NY2 Ryan Perry 1-1 18H in 13.2 IP .316 OBA 7.16 ERA
CSP: Stretch Olshan 0-1 9.00 ERA .333 OBA

Prediction: NY2 in 5 games. Should have a repeat to the World Series. New York's Pitching will be to much for the Filler's offense. Bravo will not be able to swing his hot bat every inning and no one else will step up consistently enough.
