2	73	Dutch Taylor	SP	21	COL	---	---	Solid middle rotation guy with 3 plus pitches, Good control and stamina and at 21 he has the makeup to maybe exceed expectations. This guy is a good surprise with the right coaching and patience
3	105	Clint Gross	SP	19	JC	---	---	Career Minor Leaguer, no control and poor splits is all I see.
4	137	Torey Hollins	RP	22	COL	---	---	Hollins gets a DITR for his Splits and he's an all-star 10 times over. Incredible pitches and control mixed with solid Bullpen stats.
5	169	Jeff Knotts	RP	21	COL	---	---	Middle of the road reliever he might make the league a journeyman with average splits and pitches, nothing about him screams staying power in Ryan.

Summary: The Blaze went after pitching and took a big risk in the 1^st round in Richards. If they sign him it will be costly, but they can't afford to not try, just in case. Taylor is a solid 2^nd rounder and adds depth. Hollins get a split adjustment and he is a monster. Keep your fingers crossed for that.

Florida Sting Rays Needs from the draft: C, SP, 3B

1	10	Neifi Lopez	SP	21	COL	MILB	$3,160K	Solid future ace for the Florida Rays. Lopez has the right splits, control and 4 great pitches. His low velocity and pension for the fly ball will be his biggest limitations, but overall who wouldn't want him on their farm right now.
2	62	Dick Dixon	SP	19	JC	MILB	$550K	fireballer who has huge struggles versus right handers. Dixon does have 4 quality pitches and above average control to work with.
3	94	Barney Smith	SP	19	JC	MILB	$425K	Barney Smith has a zero fielding does that mean he runs from the ball? As for his pitching good splits average control and stamina and 2 very competitive pitches should get him some Ml time in the future.
4	126	J.P. Spoljaric	SP	21	COL	---	---	Good control but piss poor makeup probably explains why he went to Central Michigan University. Sign him if you must but he is a career AAA guy.
5	158	Daniel Burba	SP	21	COL	MILB	$250K	Burba will be dominating up through AA.

Summary: Targeted pitching and got a few solid arms Lopez is a #1 guy for the future Florida has to be ecstatic about that. Dixon is flawed but still has value; Florida has starter worse in the past. Smith also has the skill to get Ml Time. Any time you can get 3 potential guys in the 1^st few rounds you have to be happy

2	70	Earl Kennedy	SS	19	JC	---	---	Major Signing issues on a defensive superstar. He does all the tools in the field and an average bat to boot, if they get him to sign he has definite potential in the Bigs
3	102	Frank Rollins	RF	18	HS	---	---	Good splits and batting eye, but overall not a great hitter, Rollins would probable make it to AAA before fizzling out.
4	134	Miguel Seguignol	CF	22	COL	---	---	average bat with a little power, Seguignol will be better suited out of CF, he has speed, but it is discounted with poor base running
5	166	Whitey Buckley	LF	18	HS	---	---	Like almost the entire 5th round he's fast with good contact but other than that he's pretty throw away

Summary: Perez adds a needed pitcher to the farm, but outside of him the Alamos did not draw to much other talent. If they sign Kennedy they add a quality defender with a decent bat.

2	61	Gerardo Arroyo	SS	18	HS	---	---	Defensive and speed guru, Arroyo offers very little at the plate. If you can hide his bat in a lineup you might find a good use for his glove. He is a late inning replacement at worse.
3	93	Jack Floyd	RP	19	JC	---	---	Solid 3 pitch reliever with plus split and good control, his velocity is down along with his durability. With this he falls to the 3rd round.
4	125	Rollie Vernon	P	19	JC	---	---	average pitches and even more average splits will limit whatever roll Rollie finds himself in.
5	157	Diego Escuela	P	18	HS	---	---	Killer slider/changeup in his tool bag, but average splits and durability might limit anyone's chance to see it outside of minor league ball.

Summary: Azocar is an Ace. Arroyo and Floyd are major leaguers to be. Excellent draft for Richmond as they added good depth to the farm this season.

SUMMARY: New name, but is this a new team? Florida is looking for an answer or at least a clue of what worked in their wild run in S9. The bullpen seems to be in good shape which is a plus and Lopez is still young enough to be a centerpiece to the lineup. Add Zoltan and Rio and the OF is set for the next few seasons. The team also has good speed, but still needs 1or 2 complimentary bats and a load of starting pitching to compete in the pitching rich NL.
HOLES TO ADDRESS: Starting SS, 1 starting pitchers would balance out the team, but they already have 25 men on the roster for S12 check your locker for pink slips boys someone isn't going north without at SS.

SUMMARY: Moving Holt to 2B would allow the team to find a power bat at 3B, Holts arm is not what it needs to be to run the hot corner, but with the signing of Martin and Cruz it looks like that's where he will stay. Sierra is a weak choice for SS and should not be the final option. They can do so much better on the farm with Brent Sheffield.

SUMMARY: pitching will guide Santa Fe as it has done in the past, but the offense has some serious holes. The team looks to take major hits in the offseason. They need a starting Catcher and should be in the market to spend for one to keep this team competing. They also need to look at cheap upgrades at 1B and 2B which they should find at the end of Free Agency. This team will have to fight to keep a 500 record let alone win the division again if they don't make some changes.
HOLES TO ADDRESS: need a quality catcher and 1 more bat in the outfield and upgrades on the offense galore.
