NL Power Ranking Week 3

1(2) New York Burros 66-31 (14-6)
As predicted a good week would put them back on top, although their lead is narrow. Key series will happen Sunday and Monday as they take on the Ballbuster's they need to at least split the series. New York also suffered a setback as they lost key platoon Lance Mann for the rest of the season.

2(1) Chicago Ballbusters 64-33 (12-8)
Lost key series to the Surf, And braves last week to assist in their slide. They need to pick up the Burros series and take all their other series against the sub-.500 masses they will be playing for the next week.

3(3) Cincinnati Bowties 60-37 (13-7)
Sean Fryman has had a bit of a career revival batting over .325 with already a 22 game hitting streak under his belt. Offense has been slow in Cinci all season and will need to pick it up with the recent lose of Ace Clarence Patrick.

4(5) Cheyenne Marmots 59-38 (12-8)
CF Tsuyoshi Gonzalez should reach his big milestones in the next few weeks of 200 Homerun and 1000 RBI he is 5 hrs and 7 RBI short.

5(6) Colorado Springs Organizational Filler 58-39 (14-6)
The bottom might have fallen out for Vic Gil, at 29 he is suffering through is worst season batting under .200 with 17 hr. Pretty horrible when you expect a .270 hitter with 50+ HR potential.

6(4) Santa Fe Blaze 53-44 (9-11)
Milestone Alert Pedro Roque is 14 hits from 2000 he should get that in the next 20 games the way he is performing this season.

7(6) San Diego Surf 54-43 (12-8)
CL Enrique Martin has been next to lights out this season with a BAA under .200 and converting 19/23 saves. He keeps his place among the greatest closers in Ryan.

8(10) Richmond Revolution 48-49 (11-9)
Rookie 1B Kimera Newman is probably lost for the rest of the season. As a rookie he was batting over .300 with 19 HR. This could be a pretty decent blow to the Revolution's offense.

9(11) Florida Sting Ray 44-53 (10-10)
2B Freddie Reynolds has been ice cold since the trade that brought him to Florida, he is batting under .200
with 8 homeruns in over 125 abs for the Rays.

10(9) Atlanta Braves 45-52 (7-13)
Closer Jose Jose has been absolutely worth every dollar spent, getting to Jose has been a whole different story, Issues in the bullpen outside of Jose have really shut the Braves down this season.

11(13) Milwaukee Blue Stockings 44-53 (11-9)
Management makes a public declaration that the team is turning around and will soon be .500 then proptly loses 9 out of the next ten. Management should learn a lesson here.

12(12) Philadelphia Balboas 44-53 (10-10)
Going to aim for the future and see what next season brings, This is the best time for that and they have some talent which should bring them ML caliber players for the future.

13(10) San Antonio Alamos 44-53 (8-12)
CL Edwin Wagner has to be on the hot seat 12/18 in saves with an Era of over 8 and a BAA over .300. Time to look for a change of guard at the end of the bullpen.

14(14) Iowa City KAMIKAZES 44-53 (9-11)
On the bottom of a 6 team bunch for positions 9-14. Anyone of these teams is capable of climbing or falling the latter with a single win or loss difference next week.

15(15) Colorado Mile High Club 28-69 (4-16)
Just 5 more RBI's and Vic Mullins has 1500 for his career.

16 (16) Detroit Lucky 14-83 (4-16)
more than ¼ of their wins have come in the past week, There could be some life in this team after all!

NL Ranking Week 3

1(2) Chicago Ballbusters 52-25 (17-14)
Leads OPS by more than 40 points, but their division by a hangnail. Chicago needs to have a strong week against tough opponents (.588 combined Win %), They draw SD, Cinci, SFE, and CHY before the all-star break. This will be the week to see if they really are #1 in the NL.

2(3) New York Burros 52-25 (22-8)
Usually the resident are the #1 spot and former WS champ, They will be ready to reclaim the top spot if Chicago even breathes wrong against their opponents this week. A relatively easier week ahead in NY, where they dray CPS, CHY, MIL, and PHI.

3(1) Cincinnati Bowties 47-30 (16-14)
2nd in Pitching to NY, but they also are allowing the leagues least hits and 2^nd in overall WHIP to Chicago. Pitching is still very much strong in Cinci.

4(5) Santa Fe Blaze 44-33 (18-13)
D'Angelo Martin's On the Job learning at SS for SFE is killing their fielding. Already leading the league in Errors and with 4 – plays, he is struggling to say the very least.

5(7) Cheyenne Marmots 47-30 (17-12)
Continue to climb even after losing unexpected overachiever Brady Forest for the season, Forest had found a pitching groove that anyone with his skills should not have found, His pact with the devil has apparently expired.

6(4) San Diego Surf 42-35 (15-16)
Prospect SP Amos Casey did an admirable job of filling in for injured Deion Dunn, but has only rewarded with a 2-5 record and a 4.44 ERA. Preview of things to come in SD I guess.

7(6) Colorado Springs Organizational Filler 44-33 (20-10)
Tony Bravo as a rookie is leading the Nl in Hitting. Don't even bring up the fact he also has 18 HR and 50 rbi and you can guess who is still a front runner for NL ROY.

8(9) Atlanta Braves 38-39 (14-16)
The Braves have to be disappointed in the production of FA pickup Erubiel Lecuona who is well below his career averages of .278 with 25 hr.

9(10) Richmond Revolution 37-40 (15-16)
Ruby Harris is showing a little more power this season, but again is only bringing a .250 BA to the table and striking out at an increased rate.Kind of a mixed bag for S12

10(13) San Antonio Alamos 36-41 (18-12)
As predicted the team had their best week and climbed up the rankings. Led my SP Corey Webb who has been lights out this season, the team's pitching has played well above their heads all season long

11(11) Florida Sting Ray 34-43 (13-17)
Add the Top Home run guy in League history, lose nothing major from the current roster, you do the math.

12(12) Philadelphia Balboas 34-43 (13-18)
A notoriously slow starting team, Philly doesn't look like they are able to come out of it this season. In the next week, they will need to decide which way they are leaning run for the playoffs this season, or play for the future and dump salary.

13(8) Milwaukee Blue Stockings 33-44 (9-22)
Been in a lot of close games 30 1 run games, where they have lost 2/3 of them, they change that up and they have a .500 record. To many close games for them to be 10 under .500. They have a couple small tweaks and they are in these games.

14(14) Iowa City KAMIKAZES 35-42 (16-15)
Playing competitively, but still just missing the climb up the Power ranking, If they turn a halfway solid week and Milwaukee continues to plummet they should see a decent climb next week.

15(15) Colorado Mile High Club 24-53 (11-20)
AI has ran the franchise since early May, Even their highly regarded prospects stacked up in AAA have only managed 14 wins this season. Come on Fregoe come back! You were one of the vocal brothers in our league.

16 (16) Detroit Lucky 10-67 (2-28)
Team is going nowhere fast With AI running the Show, pitching is burned out, Their savior Owner look one look at the state of the team and turned coat. First the Auto Industry, now this Detroit needs a Bailout people!

NL Power Rankings Week 2

NL RANKINGS

1(1) Cincinnati Bowties 31-16 (13-12)
P Ralph Ainsworth hasn't been an all starin many years he gives up alot of hits walks to many guys and doesn't strikeout to many, but hell if he's not having a great season

2(4) Chicago Ballbusters 35-11 (19-5)

#1 in HR and RBI attributed to 1B Clarence Thompson's swift bat. I Still remember when he was traded in season 9 and the contreservy that surrounded it. lets compare those players now.

3(3) New York Burros 30-17(16-9)

the last time NY didn't lead the league in pitching was season 6. Currently they sport a team ERA of 3.30. They still look to have difficulties at Closer blowing 9 saves (14-25)

4(6) San Diego Surf 27-19 (15-9)

Deon Dunn's shoulder injury might explain his difficulties with hitters this season. As a result the Surf will shut him down for 21 days. The Team should be able to hold their ground without him for the time.

5(2) Santa Fe Blaze 26-20 (8-16)

only NL team with a team batting average over .300 (.314) so obviously thats not the issue in Santa Fe.

6(5) Colorado Springs Organizational Filler 24-23 (12-13)
OF Jesse Walton has adjusted his swing reducing his power numbers, but is batting .388 on the season. He is still of pace for 35 dingers and 110 RBI

7(12) Cheyenne Marmots 29-18 (21-4)

Biggest leap up the rankings this week. Cheyenne ran 12 in a row in the span including sweeps of Sante Fe(twice) Florida, and Phildelphia.

8(7) Milwaukee Blue Stockings 24-22 (12-12)

Miller park is reporting the team is saving almost 20% on cooling costs this season with all the swings and misses in Milwaukee. Averaging over 8 wiffs a game. Ouch.

9(9) Atlanta Braves 24-23 (13-12)
SS Albert Gonzalez is having a career year batting over .300 with a 18 Hr and 33 sb pace. All career highs

10(8) Richmond Revolution 22-24 (10-14)

Jamie Martin's elbow injury will take some wind out the revolution. He has been a workhorse in Richmond for the past few seasons.

11(13) Florida Sting Ray 21-26 (12-13)

with RF Tony Lopez slated to return this week, Florida rises in the power ranking.

12(10) Philadelphia Balboas 21-25 (11-13)

Only 3 1 run games this season means nothing has been close for Philly, neither the wins or the losses.

13(11) San Antonio Alamos 18-29 (9-16)

the Team is playing over 100 points lower than their expected Win percentage. This is a pretty good sign of a turn around. You would hope.

14(15) Iowa City KAMIKAZES 19-27 (14-10) Along with CF Brad Finnessey's injury IC has to deal with the often injured Vinny Hernandez, Defense is going to be soft the next few days for the Kamikazes. This week should be a tough one for Iowa.

15(14) Colorado Mile High Club 13-33 (6-18)

the loss of P Ronnie Leach is costing Colorado their best pitcher for the week. pitching does not get any easier in Colorado for the Mile High.

16 (16) Detroit Lucky 8-39 (5-20)

new owner should be able to turn around a franchise with solid talent and make them more competitive. They might want to evaluate the fielding issues to start.

Skinny: 10 season of 90+ wins shows the dominance of this team in the NL. Should rack in their 8th straight 100+ win season as well this year.

The Skinny: Victor Vega and Chris Sears have to be one of the best 1-2 punch middle relief corps in the National league. Vega has 1.80 ERA, Sears checks in with a 1.38 ERA.

Expected Win %: .621
The Skinny: Brent Sheets has set career highs for RBI, HR, Runs, and BAVG so far. He is set the single season Cincinnati record for HR’s and should get both RBI and runs this season as well.

Expected Win %: .595
The Skinny: 16-20 in 1 run games illustrates the teams whoa with late inning hitting and pitching. Missing component for this team’s success might be clutch hitting and pitching.

The Skinny: Friday at the park is Hawk Powell Day. Every fan under 12 gets a commemorative Hawk Powell Bat. (Hawk is top 100 in almost all statistical categories)

The Skinny: Team is running on low batteries and their sluggish performance is shining through. Many key players are playing tired and need to rest so get back into ideal playing situations.

The Skinny: The fastest guy on the team Arthur Worthington has only 6 stolen bases. Might be time to give him the go light a little more.

Cincinnati Bowties ot sure how long a 4 man rotation can last, but for now they stand strong

Cheyenne Marmots-Lots of talent in their lineup, pretty good rotation and a great back end of bullpen.

San Francisco Sailors- S0lid, yet unspectacular team

San Antonio Silver Stars-Potentially the best pitching corp in the NL, hitting lacks pop right now

Vancouver Yetis- The NL is loaded with pitching talent, if Jesus Santiago keeps hitting like he is this team will keep climbing



Little Rock Labradors- Speed is the name of their game, pitching is medocre. 81 wins will not win the division this year



Florida Marlins-Charlton then Stokes then who pitches? Relief corp has been bad



Montreal Money Shots-Jumbo Guerrero 16m/year batting .196... nuff said

Pittsburgh Steel Makers-never won less than 90 games... this year could be the first

Portland Pitbulls- pitching needs to stay strong to cover for the lack of run support



Richmond Revolution- revolution is a good name for a team which has had 7 owners in 7 years, but they willl win more than 38 this season

Atlanta Braves- Large payroll (100m+) still equally 90 losses for the braves

Toledo Timelords- You have the haves and the have nots...and then theres the Timelords
